A big surprise was added in the latest version of Phase One's Capture One Pro in the form of support for control surfaces that were previously reserved for motion colorists. With this added support photographers and retouchers can expand their kit beyond the wacom tablet. While it is yet to be seen how much this could bridge gaps between the worlds of still and motion post-production it will undoubtedly change the way still photographers and digital techs generate onset looks and color grades.
